In this post, I am going to show you two different methods you can use to Finish Punch Needle Bowl Fillers.
I will show you how to finish them with a sewing machine
and with hand sewing.
We will also compare the two finished projects.
If you aren’t familiar with them,
bowl fillers are just small objects designed
to fill a bowl for decorative purposes.
I have many punch needle bowl filler patterns available in my Etsy shop.
They are a fun and easy thing to punch
because you get to skip all of the background punching!
The Punched Bee Skeps:
I punched these two bee skep bowl fillers
After punching, I pressed both projects from the back.
I will finish one by sewing it with the sewing machine
and I will finish the other by hand sewing it.

Comparison of the two sewing methods:
- Machine sewing is much faster, but personally, I prefer sitting down and hand sewing the bowl fillers together.
- Hand sewing is probably a better option if the bowl filler has protrusions – such as bunny ears.
- Machine sewing will definitely work better if you want to use a cotton as the bowl filler backing.
I hope you enjoyed learning how to finish punch needle bowl fillers by hand sewing and by machine.
