I have trouble seeing at night to punch
without turning on all of the big overhead lights.
I have a lamp next to the couch,
but it just doesn’t provide much light.
Last weekend, at our local city-wide garage sale,
I happened upon a lamp with a swinging arm for just $1!
I am hopeful I will be able to move the arm around to just the right spot
so will cast more light onto my projects.
Unfortunately, the base was brass
and the shade was silver colored.
So, I bought a can of black spray paint at Walmart for $1,
taped it off and started spraying.
(I taped a piece of paper on the top of the shade
to keep the inside of the shade white.)
The shade took a lot more coats than the lamp,
but I finally got it finished!
Here it is all put together.
Not too bad for $2!
Have you tackled any up-cycling projects lately?
Blessings~
