Last Friday, we returned from a week long camping trip.
We have always loved to camp,
but it is especially nice now to be able to get away in a safe way.
We camped in two different campgrounds in our home state.
First was a state park and second was a Corps of Engineers campground.
At the second park, we had deer wandering through our site
almost every morning and evening.
They loved munching on the acorns that were abundant in the yard.
And they were clearly not shy of people!
I took some wool with me and carded a bag full
and spun one skein of yarn.
We returned home to find pretty wildflowers blooming in the pasture,
a bunch of apples on the ground,
and many ripe pumpkins in the garden.
Saturday, I made some applesauce to put in the freezer
and we harvested the pie pumpkins.
I can’t wait to make some yummy pumpkin bars with these!
