Since Christmas, I have been spinning yarn
to get enough hand-spun wool yarn to
start weaving on a triangle loom to make another shawl.
I dyed the yarn into three different colors.
I used avocado pits for the pink color.
I boiled four pits until I had a good amount of pink pigment in the water
and then dyed the wool yarn.
For the grey wools, I used Cushing’s Silver Grey dye
in two different strengths.
This time, I am going to weave two shawls on the loom at the same time
and sew them together to make more of a poncho.
The strings hanging down are from color changes.
They will later become part of the fringe.
I like having this triangle loom set up in our living room
because it is easy to weave just a few rows at a time
when I have a couple of free minutes.
