Just released is this new bee skep hooked rug and bee punch needle mixed media pattern. The adorable punch needle bee is the perfect addition to the hooked rug bee skep mini pillow. Display this in a bowl or put it on a shelf – either way, you’ll love it all spring and summer long!
Bee Skep Hooked Rug Pattern:

In this delightful summer mixed media project, the bee hive (skep) has been hooked using various gold felted wool fabrics using #8 wool worms. The finished bee skep measures about 5-1/2 inches tall. It has been hooked on a foundation fabric of monks cloth. I find monks cloth to be easier to manipulate and work with when making hooked rug pillows.
The bee has been punched onto weavers cloth using 3 strands of DMC embroidery floss. His wings are made from felted wool and he has rusty wire antenna.
