You might think of this as a Valentine hooked rug pattern, but I believe the heart in hand primitive design can be used year round! This rug hooking pattern is called ‘Two Hearts’ and has a companion punch needle pattern, which has been punched in different colors but has the same design.
Two Hearts Rug Hooking Pattern:
This heart in hand hooked rug has been hooked using #8 wool strips. It measures about eight inches tall and about ten and one half inches wide, making it perfect for a table mat or wall hanging.
We chose to hooked it with a blue background but you could, of course, hook it with colors that suit your decorating style!
This hooked rug has the year 1841 hooked into it, giving it an antique appearance.
