Today, I am releasing this new primitive sheep pillow – rug hooking pattern.
The sheep was hooked with #8 wool strips (1/4″ wide).
His body was hooked with a solid natural colored wool.
His face, ear, and legs are all hooked with a black striped wool.
The blanket is a brown striped wool
and the star is a combination of a gold check and gold solid.
The finished pillow measures about 10 inches by 13 inches.
The Sheep Pillow – Rug Hooking Pattern is a full-size pattern
with finishing instructions to create your own primitive sheep pillow.
The rug hooking pattern uses monks cloth as a foundation fabric.
The monks cloth is softer and more flexible than some of the other
foundation fabrics making turning and manipulating
the corners of the pillow easier.
The sheep is backed with a cream felted wool and loosely stuffed.
