I came across a small Halloween candy bucket in a thrift store earlier this fall. I loved its size, but I like a more primitive look so I decided to upcycle it into a paper mache pumpkin, making it perfect for my fall primitive decor.

Upcycle the Halloween Bucket:
I used ModPodge and thin strips of tissue paper and covered the bucket with several layers, letting each layer dry before proceeding.
After the bucket was totally covered, I painted it all over with an orange craft paint and then a black craft paint for the facial features.
I used some rusty twisted wire for a new handle and added some raffia to the handle.
