I just made a kit available in my Etsy shop for this blue bird punch needle make-do.
Punch Needle Blue Bird Make-do Kit:
The punch needle blue bird has a pretty lace collar.
and some vintage buttons on her dress.
She has been mounted on top of a vintage oil can,
but you could mount her on whatever make-do stand you have available!
The punched blue bird measures about four inches tall and about three and a half inches wide.
The back is felted wool and has been sewn onto the punched project.
There is even includes a pretty blue crinkly ribbon at the base.
Her felt hat completes the project with a ribbon and a pretty little ladybug.
Get the Punch Needle Kit:
Because the blue bird’s hat is handmade by me,
this punch needle pattern is only available as a kit.
The punch needle kit includes the reusable punch needle pattern,
quality weavers cloth, wool for the backing,
DMC embroidery floss, beads, lace, crinkly ribbon,
vintage buttons, the felt hat, black ribbon, and a tiny ladybug.
You will need to add the oil can, stuffing, and basic sewing supplies.
