This tall, skinny Santa rug hooking pattern is perfect to make for adding to a vintage wooden board! You can adjust his height to up to 13″. I added a vintage key and some greenery to my Santa’s hands. My mom made hers blue and added some greenery and a vintage ornament to hers.

Belsnickel Santa Hooked Rug Pattern:

I hooked this Santa with a combination of #8 and #4 worms. For a different texture, his beard was hooked with some natural colored wool yarn. I used a red wool that I had hand dyed a variegated color for his coat and for his face, I used a hand dyed skin tone.
This pattern is available in my Etsy shop as either a digital or mailed paper pattern. Either way, it comes as a full size pattern that is easily adjusted shorter or taller to fit your project. The maximum height for the Santa pattern (using the lines drawn) is 13″. He is about 3-3/4″ wide at the bottom.
The digital pattern comes as a pdf pattern and can be downloaded from Etsy right after purchase.
If you prefer a red dot, monks cloth, or linen pattern, please let me know and I can make the pattern the correct height for your project.
