Today, I want to share a new punch needle freebie with you. This free punch needle pattern – Key to My Heart is great for Valentine’s Day.
I probably won’t put it away on Feb. 15th though because I like to have hearts out all year round!
I added an accent color in the background with some “swirls” to give it some interest and an accent color on the hearts.
It has a skeleton key at the top and a primitive tongue.
This free punch needle pattern – Key to My Heart – is available in my free pattern library.
It is a complete pattern with the printable re-usable pattern, floss colors used, and instructions.
I punched the pattern using 3 strands of DMC flosses on weavers cloth.
I like to have an old look to some of my projects, so I will be punching this same piece again and showing you a few different ways to age it.
I used coffee and tea to dye the floss before punching and I used coffee and tea to dye the finished punched projects.
This will allow you to compare all three projects to see which punched piece you like best!
- The original, undyed shown in this post
- Over dyed floss project
- Overdyed finished punched project
Blessings~
