Here’s a new free fall punch needle pattern for you.
It is a pumpkin with a crow holding bittersweet in his mouth.

This project has been punched using 3 strands of DMC embroidery floss. The floss colors I used are listed on the pattern.
I stitched the bittersweet berries with french knots using 6 strands of floss. Not only do french knots create a crisp berry, they also stand out a little more than the punches, giving it a 3 dimensional look.

The finished punched project measures about seven and a half inches tall and about six and a half inches wide. Of course, you are welcome to resize the pattern to fit your needs.
I mounted the punched project on a pumpkin shaped hornbook board that has been painted and distressed. I wrapped some jute around the handle and tied it into a knot.
Mounting punched projects on boards gives a lot of flexibility in displaying them. It can be hung, put on an easel, or just leaned up against something on a shelf.
