Today, I am going to make some Valentine gift tags. These are a perfect gift topper, love note, gift tag, or an addition to your Valentine decor.
I made these with cardstock paper cut out like a shipping tag, printed vintage sheet music, old buttons, and other notions I had leftover from other projects. This is a great scrap buster project!

Make the Valentine Gift Tags:
I made my shipping style tags but you can purchase shipping tags if you prefer.
To make the shipping tags, you can download the printable shipping tag template. The template has a thin black outline of each tag and a paper reinforcement. I used some kraft paper colored cardstock to print mine. Then just punch a hole in the top and it is ready to use.
Tear some vintage sheet music to be a little bit smaller than the bottom rectangle part of the tag. Pay attention to the words that will be in the section of sheet music you are using.
Grunge the edges of the tag and the sheet music. I rubbed the edges of my tags on a brown ink pad.
Use stick glue to glue the sheet music onto the front of the tags.
Then decorate the tags with whatever you have on hand. I used some vintage buttons, a vintage heart patch and flower, and a heart cut from a felted wool sweater.
I used ribbon and coffee dyed red and white baker’s twine for the hangers.
