What is Primitive Decor?

I think of primitive decor as early American, Colonial style projects – usually with a twist. Think distressed furniture, gingham fabrics, braided rugs, folk art, and quilts. Sometimes antiques are used and sometimes things are made to look old using antiquing techniques. Primitive decor might also be called country.
