I decided to try punching with both ends of Valdani floss –
3 strand ball threaded through the needle together.
Punching from Both Ends of a Valdani Ball:
I started with one ball of 3-strand Valdani floss.
I used color P2 (olive green).
I found both ends of the ball of Valdanifloss;
I had to dig around in the middle of the ball to find the second end.

I threaded both ends through the medium tip
of my Ultra Punch needle at the same time.

Then, I just punched normally.

In this free pattern, I wanted to make the grass
have the look of hills
so I started by punching in a hill shape.

Then, I filled in the rest of the grass area.

Here’s the view from the front.
Conclusion:
Because I was punching with twice as much thread,
the punching went faster than if I was punching with a single Valdani 3 strand floss.
This is an good way to speed up punching larger areas
without changing how things look by punching with 6 strands
or punching with pearl cotton.
If you give punching with both ends of Valdani floss a try,
let me know what you think!
Blessings~
